International Women’s Day at Studio 6: A Space for Change, Growth & Connection

Some events go beyond just learning—they shift something deep within us. That’s exactly how our International Women’s Day event at Studio6 felt. It wasn’t just a celebration; it was a space where women came together to connect, challenge, and empower each other in a way that felt truly meaningful.

From the moment you stepped into the room, there was an energy that’s hard to describe. Women arrived alone, with friends, with an open mind, and left with something more. A deeper sense of understanding, a shift in perspective, and a reminder of the power we hold—not just individually, but collectively.

Understanding Human Behaviour & How We Can Truly Change

For me, this event was a chance to talk about something I believe in deeply—understanding human behaviour on a broader level. Too often, we focus on just our own behaviours, trying to “fix” ourselves, without realising that we’re shaped by something so much bigger.

Real change happens when we stop blaming ourselves for struggling and instead understand the patterns we’re part of. My session explored how we can move beyond just focusing on our own habits and start recognising the wider behavioural cycles that influence us. Because when we can see the bigger picture, we can step into real, sustainable growth—without burnout, without guilt, without feeling like we’re constantly getting it wrong.

Habit Formation, Female Behaviour & Embodied Change

Alongside this, we had our very own S6 team speakers who brought so much value to the day:

• Kate Wynn delivered a powerful session on habit formation—not just how to build new habits, but why so many of us struggle to make them stick. She broke down the psychology behind behaviour change in a way that made so much sense, helping women see that their struggles weren’t personal failures but patterns that could be shifted with the right approach.

• Kate Robson led a deep dive into female-specific training - how we’ve been conditioned, how that shapes the way we think and train, and most importantly, how we can start rewriting the narratives we’ve been given. It was one of those sessions where you could feel the lightbulbs going off around the room—so many women recognising, maybe for the first time, just how much of their thinking has been shaped by systems they never agreed to.

And then, to close the event, Tammie’s yoga session gave us a chance to move, absorb, and physically process everything we had taken in. Because knowledge is one thing—but embodying what we’ve learned is what truly creates change.

Designing Events for Real Impact

This event wasn’t just about teaching—it was about transformation.

Every detail was designed with intention—from the structure of the sessions to the way the space was set up, from the depth of conversation to the incredible line-up of sponsors who supported us. It felt like us. It felt like what we’ve always wanted to create—a space where women feel seen, heard, and empowered to step into something bigger.

What’s Next?

This event was easily one of my favourites we’ve ever done—but it’s only the beginning.

I’ll be continuing this conversation on the podcast, where we’ll be diving even deeper into these themes. Because these conversations don’t end when the event does. This is about lasting change, and we’re only just getting started.

If you missed this one, trust me—you’ll want to be at the next.

Lots of love,
Abbi
